Check out these websites for more information on women's ordination in the Buddhist tradition:
- Alliance for Bhikkhunis: a clearing house for information on bhikkhuni history, activities, challenges, and achievements
- Saranaloka Foundation: Supporting Western Theravada nuns in the Forest Tradition of Ajahn Chah and Ajahn Sumedho
- Dharmadatta Nun's Community: a monastic community in India founded by and for Western women, which is under the guidance of the Seventeenth Gyalwang Karmapa. Llundup Damcho, author of "I Will Do It" in the Summer 2010 issue of Buddhadharma is a nun in this community.
- Sakyadhita: meaning "Daughters of the Buddha" is an international association of Buddhist women. Sakyadhita seeks to unite Buddhist women of diverse countries and traditions, to promote their welfare and to facilitate their work for the benefit of humanity.
